What is the proper offering to God?

What is the proper offering to God?
Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita says - Patram, Pushpam, Phalam, Toyam (leaf, flower, fruit and water). What do these signify? Your body is the leaf; your heart is the flower; your mind is the fruit and the tears of bliss is the water to be offered to God. Instead of attaching undue importance to this ephemeral body, emphasise on the Atma tatwa (Atmic principle). The body is to be surrendered unto God by undertaking acts of worship and other sacred deeds." -

This is why Hatha yoga is only a stepping stone. We cannot attain liberation with
hatha yoga. That is a delusion.

Spiritual practices

Be careful not to discuss the pros and cons of your spiritual practices with all and sundry. If the people consulted are treading another path, they will decry your practice of repetition of the name and meditation and treat them with scant respect. They will look down upon your practices, as if they were very elementary and as if your were but a beginner in school. As a result, you will start doubting the efficacy of your chosen path! You will get concern where earlier you had joy, disgust where earlier you had love. Therefore, reflect within yourself, or approach those who have tasted the nectar of that Name. Do not argue about these things with everyone you meet. The time spent in these disputations is better used in the cultivation of joy through the repeated contemplation of the Name (Nama) and meditation on the Form (Rupa) of the Lord.
